Antique 1911 12-Month Calendar Plate, Cooper Brothers Astoria, Illinois

This is a very nice local calendar plate made for some type of local business in the town of Astoria, Illinois back in 1911. It measures about 8 and 1/2 inches in diameter. The maker’s mark is not entirely clear, but we suspect it was made in the UK given the popularity of crown-based maker markers among that country’s manufacturers in the early 1900s. As noted, the plate is in very nice condition overall – it has crazing in the porcelain, some stray marks in the glaze, and some loss of gilding and color. But, for a 1911 plate, it looks great.…

1920 Advertising Calendar Plate WWI Seasons Greetings Harrisburg Pennsylvania

1920 calendar plate with the caption “Seasons Greeting, Gately & Fitzgerald Supply Co. Harrisburg, Pa.” It is about 7 1/4″ wide. It is in excellent condition. There is no damage. There is light crazing commensurate with age. There is no discoloration. This piece displays very well. My pictures don’t always project the ideal image. I have serious problems with glare and lighting. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions, especially photo related ones. Regarding combined shipping. In most cases, several pieces can be shipped in a single box. When this occurs, I will credit the purchaser’s PayPal account any shipping difference.
